Who we are

Kurt Consulting ("we", "us", "our") is a staffing, recruitment and professional services firm based at 6675 Mediterranean Dr. #402, McKinney, TX 75072. We place people into contract, contract-to-hire and permanent roles, and we deliver consulting and managed-services engagements. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Reach us any time at support@kurtconsulting.co.

The information we collect

If you are a candidate

Recruitment does not work without personal information, so this is the largest category we hold. Depending on how far a conversation goes, it may include:

• Name, contact details, and location or willingness to relocate.
• Your CV or résumé, work history, education, certifications and skills.
• Compensation expectations, notice period and availability.
• Interview notes, our assessment of fit, and feedback from a client employer.
• References, where you have given us the referee's details.
• Work authorisation status, and the documents needed to confirm the right to work.
• Where a role or a client requires it and the law allows it, the outcome of a background or reference check carried out by a specialist provider.

We ask you not to send us information we have not asked for — in particular health information, government identifiers, or details of a protected characteristic. If you include such information in a CV, we will remove it rather than act on it.

If you are a client or a prospective client

• Business contact details for the people we deal with at your organisation.
• The content of role briefs, statements of work and engagement correspondence.
• Records of the placements and engagements we have delivered for you.

If you are a visitor to this website

This site is deliberately light. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not profile you or track you across other sites. Our web host records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which we use to keep the site available and secure. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

How we collect it

Most often directly from you — you send a CV, complete a brief, or talk to a recruiter. We also collect information from sources such as job boards you have posted on, professional networking sites including LinkedIn, referrals from people in our network, and publicly available sources. When we approach you off the back of one of those sources, we will tell you where we found you if you ask.

Why we use it

• To match people to roles. Assessing your fit for a role, presenting you to a client employer, and supporting you through interviews, offer and start date.
• To deliver services to clients. Running a search, shortlisting, and staffing or resourcing a consulting engagement.
• To stay in touch. Letting you know about roles we think are worth your time. You can stop this at any time.
• To run the business. Contracts, invoicing, record-keeping and internal administration.
• To meet legal obligations. Right-to-work checks, tax and employment records, responding to lawful requests, and establishing or defending legal claims.

We rely on your consent where the law requires it, on our legitimate interest in operating a recruitment and consulting business, on the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, and on compliance with legal obligations.

When we share it

• With client employers. If we put you forward for a role, we share your CV and the context a hiring manager needs. We tell you which client before we do it.
• With service providers. Background-check providers, payroll and timesheet providers for contract placements, and the IT and email providers that run our systems. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
• Where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our people, or the safety of others.
• In a business transfer, if the firm or part of it is ever sold or merged.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural or targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

Candidate records are kept for 24 months after our last meaningful contact with you, so that we can come back to you when a role fits, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Records tied to a placement, an engagement or a legal or tax obligation are kept for as long as that obligation runs. You can ask us to delete your record sooner.

How we protect it

We restrict access to the people who need it to do their job, use reputable providers for email and file storage, and require encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information and the law requires notice.

Your choices and your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to:

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your record.
• Stop contacting you about roles.

If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act also gives you the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to obtain a portable copy, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling with legal effects. We do not carry out any of those three activities. You may appeal a refused request by replying to our decision, and if we deny the appeal you may contact the Texas Attorney General.

To exercise any of these, email support@kurtconsulting.co. We will respond within the time the law allows, and we may need to verify your identity first. Exercising a right will never cost you anything or change how we treat you.

Children

Our services are for working adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Other sites

This site links to our LinkedIn page, and we may send you to a client's own application system. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged to the people they affect.
